th HostPapa for about 3 years. The performance was OK but their support was painfully slow whenever I actually needed help. CanSpace has been a completely different experience. Both sites loaded noticeably faster from day one, and the one time I had a question about my SSL certificate, their support team got back to me within minutes with a clear answer. The pricing is also very competitive - I'm on their Medium plan and it's less than what I was paying before for fewer features. As a small business owner in Ontario, it's also nice knowing my data is actually staying in Canada. Very happy with the switch.

Three Words: Host From Hell
Have been doing business using the same domains for more than 15 years and upon transferring them to CanSpace almost half of my contact list says my e...
mails are going to their spam filter - only Gmail accounts were reliably receiving messages from our domains. CanSpace denied time and again that this had anything to do them, it was all a wild coincidence that the issue only started once we moved to them. This is the same host that repeatedly cited 'propagation time' and 'client email configuration' as the reason for almost 48 hours downtime with the transfer of these domains. In the end it turned out that a 'senior' tech discovered that they had incorrectly entered our MX records -- but no apologies offered for the lies told by their incompetent support staff. I should further add that this was only discovered after raising almost a dozen tickets because guess what? Despite claiming to offer 24/7 telephone support, their phone lines were mysteriously down when we called as they were "in the middle of moving offices" - of course. When I escalated the situation to owner Sunil and explained how messages from our domains were being blocked by half our address book since transferring them to Canspace, I was told to sign up for Amazon SES (Simple Email Service) - at an added cost - to better ensure that our messages were whitelisted. Fifteen years using the same domains with various hosts, no problem. Day one and every day after with Canspace, half the messages being sent from our domain are blocked. It was such a disruption to our business during our busiest time of year that we had to switch to using a Gmail account to ensure reliable email communication. The eventual solution? Transferring the domains the hell away from CanSpace to Namespro based in Vancouver. Total downtime? 3 hours but more importantly once again all of our emails are reaching our clients and the nightmare that is CanSpace is thankfully over. Deal with CanSpace at your own risk.

This has been, without exaggeration, one of the most infuriating, stressful, and financially damaging experiences I’ve ever had with any service**and ...
I’m stunned this company is still in business. They have a laughably rigid "no refunds after 45 days" policy, even if you're left with NINE MONTHS of unusable time on your account. Imagine paying for something long-term, only for the provider to completely fail on their endand then smugly deny you a refund. It's not just unethicalit's predatory. The server performance is absolutely abysmal. It feels like a ticking time bomb. Their servers go down every five damn minutes. I wish that were an exaggeration. You can’t run a business, host clients, or even keep a basic webpage online with this level of instability. And the worst part? They know it. They’ve been told. And they’ve done NOTHING. This isn’t just about downtime. This is about the destruction of trust, time, and business. Their constant outages directly led to the suspension of both my Google Ads and Google Merchant Center accounts. Do you have any idea what kind of hell it is trying to recover from that? The appeals, the explanations, the hours of writing emails and making calls just to prove that you didn’t do anything wrongit was your provider. I’ve lost revenue, credibility, and sleep over this. I’ve spent countless hours troubleshooting problems that weren’t mine to begin with fighting fires started by their failures. The psychological stress of watching your business crumble over something you can't control is unbearable. It’s anxiety. It’s helplessness. It’s rage. And above all, it's betrayal because I trusted them to deliver a basic, functional service. And what do you get when you raise these issues? Nothing. Silence. Or worse copy-pasted excuses from support agents who clearly don’t care and won’t lift a finger to help. If you value your business, your sanity, or even just basic decency, stay as far away from this company as possible. They’re not just unreliable they’re dangerous to your operations and reputation.
