I have been using VentrIP for years now and have quite a few domains and hosting services with them. I have never had any problems and cannot remember the last time there was an interruption or downtime. People complain about their ticket system - rather than phone support, but it is excellent. Every ticket I've ever raised has been answered within minutes even on weekends, it to mention the support even seems local! I cannot recommend them enough given their great starter packages and being an excellent Aussie company. I've compared their speeds to other hosts and they match up. Their cPanel is current and offers plenty of installation offers. Give them a go, you won't be disappointed.
VentraIP made unauthorised changes to my code which broke my website
06/09/2016 - VentraIP's servers were down, a sign of their poor reliability. eTicket was raised at 10:27, and a prompt reply at 10:43 stating that there were "values in your .htaccess which were causing these issues". VentraIP later sent me an email offering a SLA credit for the downtime - I applied for this, and was then rejected, despite experiencing almost an hour of downtime.
29/10/2016 - After reviewing the past 2 months of sales data, I realised that something was going wrong. After investigating further, found that my website's checkout was not functioning. Then, discovered that VentraIP staff had made UNAUTHORISED changes to my code, believing that this would resolve their poor hosting reliability issues. The existing code had been running since 2012 unchanged, and VentraIP believed that 1 day of downtime was caused by the 4-year-old code.
29/10/2016 - After submitting an eTicket, VentraIP staff claim that their changes were "to restore the site functionality", again trying to cover for both their poor reliability, as well as defending their changes to my code.
Am a thoroughly displeased and angry customer of VentraIP.
I'm sorry you feel that our support staff caused issues to your service. It's actually an internal policy of ours to try and go above-and-beyond for all of our customers, particularly when theyre experiencing issues with their service!
It's great to see that our support were able to get back to you in such lightning-fast time, although would like to note that we have since implemented internal policy to avoid issues of this manner reoccurring.
Our services are backed by an SLA-driven uptime guarantee and are always happy to provide a credit where it is due. Unfortunately if you were experiencing downtime that was fixed by a change to your htaccess and further investigation found no downtime across your server then our SLA was not breached and a refund cannot be provided.
It is through feedback such as this that we can better our services and as such I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to write a review on a third party website.

LOL changing someones website code on them is NOT good service. Do you honestly believe the nonsense you spout.
How about being humble and admitting fault instead of just spouting how amazing your service and staff is when people are clearly telling you they have experienced the opposite.
Might not leave such a sour taste in ones mouth if you did.
CEO is a fool. I don't think he makes many of the decisions though. It's clear the old CEO/founder is still in charge.
When I found out they host absolute filth like a certain Big Brother website/forum (for free) which is owned, moderated and frequented by some sick, sick people, I no longer wanted anything to do with them.
