3 months too late. You upped the cost of my account by $20 a month without warning, the moment my account was transferred. Emails stopped when I inquired about 'price' with VentraIP after I received no information about the change over.

My reseller account without any discussion went from $30 a month to $50 a month and I had services slashed, less disk space, accounts, emails, bandwidth etc. ZERO discussion.

All contact with VentraIP was initiated by me. Not once did VentraIP reach out during the change over or after.... I had no idea what was going on except for Robert at Spider Web Hosting telling me he was selling out on the day of the transfer. He didn't tell me or any one else earlier to prevent us 'jumping ship' because he wanted to ensure his customers remained on the books to keep Ventra on the hook.

Servers were physically turned off and only turned back on after I contacted the company, sites were down for days. All I got was 'oops someone turned off your server, sorry!'
This was when I was should of been moved to Ventra from Spider.

This then occurred several more times. Before I threw in the towel.

I've been with hosts all around the world over the decades, GoDaddy, Host Gator, BlueHost, Spider Web Hosting and more. I've never experienced anything like this with any of them and never been charged so much for such minimal crappy service, not sure how VentraIP can claim to be Australia's #1. If true it's only because they are buying up all the competition.

Pretty sad that one man, Robert K, could offer a better service for years than an entire staffed company. Zero complaints in my time with Spider Web.

You should care about your customers while they're on your books Angelo, not after they've gone. You're plugging the holes after the ship is sunk and on the ocean floor.

The Australian web industry has gone to the dogs and is just full of greedy scum now.

This has been my experience as well, I am sorry you had to quite the business but understand your frustration their service is atrocious and they really don't care. Its very said as I have some great clients who are happy to pay for good service.

The way they treated NetOrigin customers is dispiable and just plain rude.
They downgraded our 10GB accounts to their 5GB service, upped the price and decreased the inodes to the point it is basically a useless service.

I will stay until the account runs out and then move on.

AS with Trash Bandit, i am set to leave the industry. The lowest of the low can have it and revel in their abyss. I cannot stand this greedy, selfish, arrogant appraoch to `life'

Yep, same here, prices went up, service went down when they bought out Spider Web Hosting.

Between all the overly cheap Indians and Asians to compete with in web design, and all the good aussie companies being bought up by VentraIP and the like, it's a mugs game to stay in the industry.

Now I understand why they are screwing with my business and not interested in helping, thankyou. Damn shame I have some great clients with some really interest sites but VentraIP are doing their best to destroy reseller business.

Hard to blame the company when your services get terminated because you don\'t pay your invoices lol.

Now you require them to go in and manually grab a backup and restore it - this takes a business time and money to do.

However, I do think they should probably have a bit of leeway before removing things completely as we can all fuck up and miss an invoice from time to time.
